About The Position

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for advertising and promoting the property, providing tours to prospective and current residents, completing the full cycle lease process, ensuring compliance with renter's insurance, maintaining resident occupancy of 95%, and ensuring the timely collection of rent and other ancillary revenue. This role also involves engaging with prospective and current tenants professionally and courteously, escalating tenant relation issues to the Property Manager, and facilitating resident events. The position requires approximately 80% in an office environment using a computer and phone, and 20% inspecting property grounds, which may require the ability to climb stairs, ladders, and maneuver walkways. The role also involves the ability to carry or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

• Authorization to work in the United States
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of customer service and sales experience
• Reliable transportation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrates teamwork, good hygiene, ethical behavior and integrity, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multi-task, resolve conflicts, and ambition for continuous professional development

Responsibilities

• Advertise and promote the property
• Utilize industry specific software for lead management
• Provide tours to prospective and current residents
• Complete full cycle lease process with prospective residents
• Ensure compliance with renter’s insurance
• Maintain resident occupancy of 95%
• Ensure the timely collection of rent and other ancillary revenue
• Engage with your prospective and current tenants using a professional and courteous approach
• Escalate tenant relation issues to Property Manager
• Facilitate resident events
• Comply with all Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunities requirements
• Comply with appropriate state landlord/tenant statutes
• Attend training and development seminars
• Other duties as assigned by Property Manager
