About The Position

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to prospective residents. This includes conducting property tours, handling telephone inquiries, managing online marketing and communications, and assisting with the move-in process. The role also involves ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws and state landlord/tenant statutes, managing lease agreement paperwork, tracking prospective tenants, collecting rents, maintaining the condition of vacant and model apartments, and supporting resident retention efforts through various activities and prompt service request follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to prospective residents, including property tours, telephone inquiries, online marketing and communications, and performing move-in.
• Comply with all Fair Housing & Equal Housing Opportunity requirements.
• Comply with all appropriate state landlord/tenant statutes.
• Ensure that residents complete lease agreement paperwork completely and timely.
• Track and follow-up with prospective tenants utilizing traffic logs and guest cards.
• Ensure the timely collection of rents.
• Ensure that vacant, model and target apartments are spotless and appliances and fixtures are in working condition.
• Support with resident retention by assisting resident activities, following up with service requests within 24 hours of their completion, and handling resident concerns.
• Attend training and development seminars.
