About The Position

The Leasing Consultant plays a critical role in our community’s achievement by delivering a "WOW" experience to existing residents and prospective tenants alike. Key responsibilities include leading tours of our high-quality apartments and rental homes, maintaining consistent follow-up with leads, and boosting occupancy through effective sales strategies. For this front-facing position, we are looking for an outgoing and proactive professional who possesses a proven track record in leasing, sales, or a related industry. The successful candidate will act as the primary ambassador for the community, greeting guests with enthusiasm and providing professional insight into our living spaces.

Requirements

  • A strong background in multiple years of multifamily property management is required
  • Proven ability to drive positive results while representing and promoting core values
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong outreach and social media marketing background
  • Experience conducting accurate market surveys by conducting in-person shops on a regular basis
  • A sense of empowerment, accountability, and success at achieving goals, driving performance, and developing team members

Nice To Haves

  • Appfolio, G-suite, and Microsoft Office experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all leads within 4 hours and manage the full lead-to-lease process
  • Prospect weekly and build relationships with local businesses for cross-promotion
  • Network with major employers, universities, and hospitals to generate traffic
  • Conduct leasing tours using DLP’s Standards of Excellence and close with confidence
  • Assist prospects in applying using online tools and proven closing techniques
  • Create and lead resident programs to enhance the living experience
  • Build relationships with current and past residents to drive referrals
  • Regularly walk and inspect the property to ensure cleanliness and functionality
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, guest cards, follow-ups, and lease paperwork
  • Communicate consistently with the Community Manager, leadership, and teammates
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings; manage goals and time effectively
  • Organizing and coordinating resident events monthly
