To assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the property, with primary emphasis on leasing apartments and maintaining good tenant relations. This role involves greeting and assisting current and prospective residents, developing a full knowledge of rental application processes, screening, policies, and lease terms. The Leasing Agent will show apartments, schedule appointments, prepare leases, and maintain resident files. Responsibilities also include receiving maintenance requests, advertising available apartments, secret shopping competitor communities, and conducting check-ins for new residents. A key aspect of the role is developing and maintaining knowledge of property rates, sizes, locations, and amenities. The position may also assist with pre-inspections, turnovers, and working longer hours during peak seasons. Additional tasks include posting notices, preparing newsletters, planning resident events, assisting with rent collection, and reporting unusual circumstances to the Property Manager. The role requires reporting to the office for scheduled hours, including Saturday showings as needed, and maintaining reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Adherence to safety standards and company policies is mandatory.
