Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • Proficiency with PC systems and Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to work with cloud-based leasing management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Some understanding of personnel management, leasing, maintenance operations, marketing strategies, LIHTC regulations, and resident retention programs.
  • Good human relations skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Property Manager in maintaining property occupancy to maximize financial returns.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring marketing and advertising programs.
  • Conduct market studies and analysis to make recommendations for competitiveness.
  • Respond to leasing inquiries and conduct apartment showings according to company policies and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Ensure apartment models and vacancies are ready for showings and move-ins.
  • Communicate property features and amenities to prospects.
  • Process application paperwork in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements.
  • Assist in coordinating and processing lease and move-in paperwork, rent collection, and delinquency matters.
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly statistical reports.
  • Answer phones and schedule showings and appointments.
  • Distribute company or community-issued notices.
  • Assist in generating, distributing, and monitoring renewal notices and follow-up with residents.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and professionals.
  • Represent the company professionally.
  • Maintain working knowledge of computer systems and company software.
  • Record resident correspondence.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all Fair Housing laws, policies, and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
