Temporary Lease Up Property Manager

SoLa Impact•Los Angeles, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Temporary Lease Up Property Manager to drive lease-up operations at one of our workforce+ institutional-style communities. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you'll be 100% responsible for day-to-day operations from day one, managing leasing activity, resident relations, financials, maintenance, and vendor workflows. If you know how to lease a building fast, run it clean, and you live in Yardi — this is the role for you. SoLa Impact is an award-winning social impact, development, and investment company focused exclusively on creating high-quality affordable housing in low-income, Black and brown communities in Los Angeles. We move fast, operate lean, and care deeply about the residents we serve.

Requirements

  • Proven lease-up experience at a workforce+ or institutional-style multifamily property
  • 3+ years of property management experience with at least 2 years supervising others
  • Yardi CRM proficiency — you manage your prospect pipeline in the system, not a spreadsheet
  • Strong command of Yardi for all operational functions: move-ins, move-outs, renewals, work orders, AR/AP
  • Solid understanding of landlord-tenant law, leasing compliance, and fair housing
  • Financially fluent — you can read a budget, explain variances, and own the numbers
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to operate independently without hand-holding
  • Passionate about SoLa's mission of providing high-quality affordable housing

Responsibilities

  • Full day-to-day operations at an institutional workforce housing property
  • Drive lease-up from vacancy to stabilization — manage your full prospect workflow in Yardi CRM
  • Show, screen, and lease units; process applications, move-ins, move-outs, renewals, and notices
  • Book and manage receivables; maintain accurate financial records in Yardi
  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual variance reporting and budget adherence
  • Supervise your Maintenance Technician — coordinate work orders, vendor scheduling, and quality control
  • Manage vendor relationships and payables workflows
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for residents — handle issues, escalate appropriately, and close the loop
  • Ensure the property shows well, stays compliant, and performs against budget at all times
