About The Position

National Development is looking for an experienced Property Manager for a brand new, lease-up apartment community located in Belmont, MA. As a Lease Up Property Manager, your primary responsibilities include leading by example, inspiring the team to effectively execute sales, marketing, and operational activities to achieve budgeted occupancy and customer retention goals. You will manage the financial performance of the properties in accordance with established budgets, effectively manage your time between multiple assets, and coach all team members to understand their contribution to the big picture. You will also create and deliver timely and accurate financial and operational performance reports, cultivate strong relationships with owners, residents, employees, and vendors, and be an expert on competitive marketplaces. Partnering with the internal marketing group to develop strategies, creating an operating environment that assures consistent guest satisfaction, and inspiring professional growth and development of team members by encouraging knowledge sharing and collaboration are also key aspects of this role. Supporting participation in training and educational opportunities is also expected.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in property management
Experience in managing a lease up
Experience in low and moderate income programs
A track record of success building, developing and retaining high-performing teams
A track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, investors, ownership groups and vendors
Experience managing a budget and/or P&L
Experience with a Revenue Management software platform (AIRM preferred)
Proficiency with industry software (YARDI), apps and computer programs
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
