About The Position

As a Lease Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining oil and gas production and injection wells on a rotational schedule. You will ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment and support Health, Environment, and Safety processes. The role requires extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, strong technical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. A successful candidate must have a deep understanding of oil and gas and be capable of troubleshooting various production systems. Non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours can be expected.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Lease Operator experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid US Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
  • Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with flowing wells, beam pump (with electronic pump-off controller), plunger lift, water injection, and water disposal.
  • Experience with production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection and metering devices (electronic gas measurement and others).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Deep understanding of oil and gas.
  • Capability of troubleshooting various production systems.
  • Walking, bending, and stopping.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, optimize, and maintain oil and gas production and injection wells.
  • Ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment.
  • Support Health, Environment, and Safety processes.
  • Perform daily monitoring of multiple well sites by vehicle.
  • Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical problems.
  • Perform mandatory paperwork required by customer and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform general housekeeping and field maintenance.
