About The Position

As a Lease Operator, you will monitor, optimize, and maintain oil and gas production and injection wells. You will help ensure peak efficiency and reliability of production equipment and support Health, Environment, and Safety processes. The job involves working safely and following acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned oil and gas producing properties. Daily monitoring of multiple well sites is performed by vehicle. Non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours can be expected.

Wells may include flowing, beam pump with electronic pump-off controller, plunger lift, water injection, and water disposal wells. Facilities may include production tank batteries, flowlines, LACT (lease automatic custody transfer) facilities, water injection plants, natural gas compression, cathodic protection, and metering devices, including electronic gas measurement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Lease Operator experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet conditional job offer requirements, including background check, drug test, MVR, agility assessment, and fit-for-duty assessment.
• Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, walk, bend, and stop.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment and respond to visual and audible alarms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, optimize, and maintain oil and gas production and injection wells.
• Ensure production equipment operates efficiently and reliably, and support Health, Environment, and Safety processes.
• Use safe work practices and acceptable environmental procedures to maximize earnings while minimizing costs on assigned properties.
• Monitor multiple well sites daily by vehicle.
• Test, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment and mechanical problems.
• Complete mandatory paperwork required by the customer and regulatory agencies.
• Perform general housekeeping and field maintenance.
• Respond to non-scheduled callouts outside normal business hours as needed.
