This position acts as the Lease Accountant for Property Management and consists of work in functional areas such as financial accounting, creating journal entries to record debts and associated assets in the University’s accounting system of record (Kuali) and the university property subsystem, use lease software to maintain a secondary system of accounting, monitor property-related financial activity accounted for in Kuali, analyze and interpret accounting activity for accuracy and completeness, train University Accountants, create and maintain central, written procedures for use by University Accountants, perform year end close, and summarize and report financial information from the accounting systems in accordance with accounting standards, statutes and regulations. This position is responsible for interpreting lease related GASB pronouncements.
