About The Position

Land Tech is seeking a Lease Analyst to provide lease analyst support to the Land Department. This role involves processing new leases, contracts, drafts, and assignments, including file setup, mapping, and computer input. The analyst will be responsible for recording, copying, and transmitting correspondence to Houston Land Administration (HLA), and conducting monthly reviews of calendars (obligations, rentals, expirations, elections, etc.) with Landmen. Additional duties include preparing check requests for assignments and agreements, generating various monthly Land Reports, following up on inquiries from HLA and landowners, assisting in the preparation of regulatory applications and various documents, and performing title research and curative work as directed by Landmen.

Requirements

1+ year of oil and gas land experience.
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to handle a heavy workload and meet critical deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to learn new software.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of ArcView.
Knowledge of Dwights PI.
