Requirements

  • University Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of Operations experience or Associate's Degree with 8+ years of Operations experience.
  • Prior experience leading training initiatives, coaching operators/technicians, and supporting employee development.
  • Training delivery and facilitation experience in an adult learning setting.
  • Training content and curriculum development experience.
  • Project/Program management experience.
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, facilitation, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Petrochemical industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT, etc.).
  • Experience in Learning Management System Administration.
  • Proficient in training development authoring tools (e.g. Articulate, In-Design).

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of key Learning and Development initiatives such as Operator, Maintenance and SHE training and qualification programs, Leadership Development Programs, Instructional Design, Learning Management System Administration, Curriculum Development, Training Plans, and New Hire Onboarding Programs.
  • Support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development products and services.
  • Utilize Instructional Systems Design techniques and Adult Learning Theory in the development of learning programs and projects.
  • Support the identification and development of skills, knowledge, and abilities for the organization.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and analysis.
  • Assist in the development of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Design and develop instructional material utilizing design authoring tools and in line with departmental and global governance.
  • Provide audit support, HR learning reports, and data analysis to identify business issues and improve business performance.
  • Oversee the selection and performance reviews of 3rd party training vendors.
  • Research and recommend course design, technology, and instruction delivery options, including the evaluation of emerging instructional technologies and methods.
  • Provide input for budget development cycle.
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships and provide customer support.
  • Pursue personal and professional development.
  • Other projects as assigned.
