Summary The Learning Management Administrator coordinates the day‑to-day operations of the Education Department, with primary responsibility for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization’s Learning Management System (LMS) and related education platforms. This role ensures accurate scheduling, enrollment, tracking, and documentation of education and competency requirements; supports access to learning; and contributes to the delivery of high‑quality educational programs. The position collaborates with leaders, Talent Acquisition, clinical partners, and interprofessional teams to support compliance, workforce development, and a consistent learning experience across the organization. This role also supports continuing education documentation, clinical competency tracking, and education activities across the system.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess 1 – 3 years of experience in Learning Management Systems, Education or related field.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, databases, survey tools, and audiovisual equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a positive, service‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Flexibility to support early morning, evening, or occasional weekend activities.
  • Understanding of regulatory, licensure, and accreditation requirements related to clinical staff and continuing education.
  • Technical aptitude and comfort navigating multiple systems.

Responsibilities

  • Education Operations & Coordination Coordinates day-to-day administrative operations of the Education Department, including management and maintenance of tools, systems, and platforms related to education and professional development. Ensures accurate and timely scheduling, enrollment, and communication for all education requirements, programs, and offerings. Facilitates learner access to required education and proactively resolve participation barriers. Develops and maintains tracking systems for course completion, attendance, competencies, and compliance.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration Serves as system superuser for the Learning Management System (Mary Free Bed Education Academy), ensuring system functionality, data accuracy, and user support. Trains new employees and leaders on LMS navigation, expectations, and best practices. Administers mandatory and regulatory education programs, including orientation, annual education, EMR training, and other compliance-driven requirements. Responds to LMS inquiries, troubleshoot user issues, and ensure accurate competency records to meet regulatory and accreditation needs.
  • Educational Events & Program Support Coordinates logistical and administrative aspects of assigned educational programs and events, including but not limited to: Conference and event support, including facility coordination Audiovisual and technical coordination Event registration and accounting support Preparation and distribution of course materials On-site event support and facilitation Post-event follow-up, including evaluations, certificates of attendance, and expense processing Assists with the development, maintenance, posting, and archival of course presentations, handouts, and session recordings. Processes continuing education credit documentation, ensuring compliance with varying association and regulatory requirements.
  • Life Support Certification Coordination Coordinates on-campus Life Support certification courses, including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Develops and manages course schedules and fiscal budgets based on organizational needs assessments. Coordinates course locations, learner registration, and attendance tracking. Oversees and supports vendor registration guidelines and requirements.
  • Data, Evaluation & Reporting Collects, analyzes, and summarizes education evaluation data to assess program effectiveness. Prepares reports and documentation to support education program planning, continuous improvement, and compliance activities.
  • Content & Communication Support Collaborates with department leadership, develops and maintains education-related program materials, websites, and communications. Supports content development and maintenance for Education team sites and interprofessional partner sites in alignment with internal site standards and governance. Assists colleagues in the development and formatting of patient education materials as needed.
  • Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned in support of Education Department objectives and organizational priorities.

This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deal discretely and sensitively with confidential information.
