A Day in the Life The event coordinator’s role is responsible for logistical coordination, inventory management, shipping of event materials, and ensuring smooth execution and alignment with enterprise standards. Succes in this role requires navigating multiple stakeholders and adapting to shifting priorities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment supporting corporate events. Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED with 6+ years of experience with corporate event /project coordination

  • Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams); Cvent platform, Concur, Medallia, and SharePoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail, time management, organizational skills
  • Flexibility to support light travel or potential after-hour events, if needed up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and supplies as part of inventory, shipping, and onsite duties
  • Experience managing internal corporate events.
  • Experience developing innovative event strategies that deliver results and cost efficiencies.
  • Experience with checklists, templates, or tools that improve consistency and reduce manual work time.
  • Experience sourcing, negotiating, and managing preferred suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead coordinator for the early career team - summer intern program and fall campus recruiting efforts.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of early career and/or learning & development programs and training sessions (in-person and virtual) throughout the year including managing invitations, registration, participant tracking, and follow-ups.
  • Manage end-to-end event logistics including booking meeting rooms, room set up, AV/technology needs, catering, surveys, and materials preparation.
  • Source hotels, vendors, coordinate group transportation, as well as any onsite or offsite activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for onsite, hybrid and virtual event-related inquiries, ensuring seamless communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Manage and track all program and speaker expenses and reconcile all charges accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure expenses remain within or under budget.
  • Manage session tracking, attendance tracking, and/or completions across multiple sites and activities.
  • Inventory management including ordering, storing, distributing, shipping, and reporting of materials as needed.

  • Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$58,000.00 - $87,000.00
  • This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
  • The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California.
  • The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.
  • Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
