You'll bridge strategic learning design with hands-on execution, ensuring our workforce has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to drive operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • B.A. degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (required).
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Learning and Development, Training, or Human Resources (required).
  • Project management and change management experience, with the ability to lead training initiatives from design through execution (required).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Excel, and PowerPoint (required).

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM or PHR certification (preferred).
  • Learning and Development certifications or training (preferred).
  • Experience working in a union environment or with a CBA (preferred).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing/automotive processes (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Detect training needs and build strategies aligned with business objectives, partnering with the Plant HDBP and operations to identify skills gaps and learning priorities.
  • Track Annual Training Plan compliance and support its execution.
  • Partner with business and operations leaders to define training strategies that upskill, develop, and enhance internal talent.
  • Lead training manual development and improvement, designing and standardizing materials for new hires, technical roles, and operator certifications.
  • Administer orientation training for new hires, ensuring structured onboarding, safety induction, and compliance paperwork.
  • Coordinate training logistics—scheduling, trainer coordination, materials, and venues—while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Develop and certify internal instructors by coaching supervisors and technical experts into subject-matter expert trainers.
  • Select, vet, and manage external training suppliers and certification bodies.
  • Evaluate training program effectiveness, tracking completion rates, assessment scores, and post-training performance.
  • Fulfill legal, safety, quality, and environmental compliance requirements for all training documentation.
  • Manage tuition, scholarship, and reimbursement programs for employees pursuing skills development.
  • Consolidate monthly training KPIs and maintain dashboards and scorecards for training execution and compliance.
  • Track progress in Metalsa University and ensure alignment with plant needs.
  • Manage training and compliance databases (DTN, Digi Binder), maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of training completion rates and identify gaps by department.
  • Support department matrix coordination, aligning training with organizational structure and role requirements.
  • Instruct and deliver Train the Trainer programs, coaching supervisors to train and reinforce safety culture.
  • Instruct and deliver institutional trainings, workshops, and safety briefings across technical and leadership topics.
  • Support other Human Development functions, including employee relations activities and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed—this role evolves as the needs of the department change.
