Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of administrative or program-support experience required, preferably in behavioral health, healthcare, human resources, education, training, or a related environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational development, psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience coordinating classes, orientations, meetings, or events preferred.
  • Experience using a learning management system or electronic records system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Learning and Development Manager, the Learning and Development Assistant provides administrative, logistical, and instructional support for Alexander Youth Network’s employee learning and development activities.
  • Managing employee training profiles and records in the agency’s Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Maintaining audit-ready documentation.
  • Supporting new-hire orientation.
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for the Learning and Development Department.
  • Preparing for, supporting, and closing out new-hire orientation sessions, including coordinating training materials, classroom supplies, participant documentation, equipment, attendance records, certificates, and other logistical needs before, during, and after orientation.
  • Obtaining and maintaining agency-approved certifications in Handle With Care and CPR/First Aid.
  • Serving as a certified co-instructor or instructional assistant to the L&D Mentor or another authorized lead trainer within the scope permitted by each certification.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service, communication, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
