About The Position

Join our team as a detail-oriented Learning and Development Specialist at IHMVCU! We are member-focused and dedicated to providing exceptional service and fostering financial well-being for our community. This role is located at our beautiful headquarters on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility. The Learning & Development Specialist plays a critical role in the onboarding, learning and development of our team. The position is responsible for creating, delivering and continually improving trainings on a variety of topics, in a variety of ways. This position requires financial institution knowledge, adult learning acumen, and excellent communication and presentation skills. The Learning and Development Specialist is also responsible for staying current with technology and learning-method knowledge.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 2 years of training experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of training and development practices and methods including needs assessment and instruction design for instructor led, virtual, online, and blended training
Knowledge of learning theories and principles including adult learning theory
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
Professional written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, analytical and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and technology in general
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and on-the-job leadership skills
Enthusiastic about adult learning

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Project Management, Human Resources or other relevant area preferred.
Experience with blended learning approach and eLearning tools preferred

Responsibilities

Developing, coordinating, and presenting quality, engaging and enthusiastic training sessions both in person and virtually.
Design up to date training
Prepare training materials in the areas of sales, service, and general credit union concepts.
Survey and identify needs for ongoing organizational development.
Update stakeholders with progress and priorities of learning.
Manage the company-wide Learning Management System.
Translate the needs of the business into effective learning solutions.
Assist in the development and implementation of new/updated operational
