About The Position

KenCrest is seeking a passionate and experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist and Interventionist to support our Birth-to-Five programs across Pennsylvania and Delaware. This role leads the design and delivery of high-quality, cost-effective professional development while also providing direct Birth to Three Early Intervention services (approximately 10–12 cases weekly). The ideal candidate blends training expertise with hands-on early intervention experience and thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with children with special needs; prior experience coaching families preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with Birth-to-Five training requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in training and professional development within Early Childhood, Early Intervention, and the Early Intervention Model of Coaching.
  • Pennsylvania Coaching Endorsement through OCDEL, or willingness to obtain endorsement within one (1) year of employment.
  • Red Cross (or equivalent) Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED Facilitator certification, or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience developing and delivering training, with proficiency in technology and platforms used for both in-person and virtual training delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an annual professional development training plan in collaboration with the Birth-to-Five (B-5) Management Team and the Learning & Development Team, responding to new initiatives, regulatory requirements, and best practices in the field.
  • Design and deliver topical training and skill-building opportunities for staff and supervisors across Pennsylvania and Delaware.
  • Develop, maintain, and update training content within Relias and the KenCrest Academy for contractors.
  • Conduct an annual program assessment, monitor training and performance data, and prepare reports to support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED trainings.
  • Attend and support PA Early Intervention collaborative meetings, providing coaching feedback through direct observation across all counties (if not coaching endorsed, participation will occur following completion of the endorsement learning path).
  • Provide ongoing support to staff and supervisors in the utilization of Relias, including integration with the State Professional Development Registry.
  • Collaborate in the development of the Act 48 renewal application and oversee reporting of Act 48 hours to the Pennsylvania Department of Education; generate summary reports for staff regarding certification status and accrued hours as needed.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the hiring manager.
