About The Position

The Learning & Development Consultant partners with business leaders and stakeholders to assess performance needs, design and deliver learning solutions, and evaluate their effectiveness. This role supports management and advanced-level audiences by developing engaging learning experiences that build capability, improve performance, and drive business results. The consultant applies adult learning principles and a variety of delivery methods, including instructor-led training (virtual and in-person), e-learning, coaching, job aids, and learning technologies. They are responsible for managing learning initiatives from needs analysis through evaluation, ensuring learners successfully achieve desired outcomes and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Four years overall L&D experience
  • Two years of insurance experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct learning needs assessments and performance analyses to identify capability gaps and business needs.
  • Design, develop, and implement learning and performance improvement solutions for management and advanced-level audiences.
  • Lead learning projects of moderate to high complexity, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
  • Deliver training through a variety of methods, including classroom, virtual, coaching, e-learning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Establish metrics and evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness, behavior change, and business impact.
  • Analyze evaluation results and make recommendations to improve learning content, delivery methods, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Serve as the owner and administrator of learning programs, managing implementation plans, schedules, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide coaching and developmental support to employees and leaders to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify performance challenges and recommend appropriate learning and non-learning solutions.
  • Maintain, update, and continuously improve existing learning programs and content.
  • Utilize and support learning technologies, including learning management systems and digital learning tools.
  • Research and recommend emerging learning technologies, methodologies, and industry trends to enhance organizational capability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to learners, facilitators, and stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, project teams, and external vendors to achieve learning and development objectives.
  • Mentor and support less experienced learning and development professionals.
  • Contribute to organizational knowledge management and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Participate in departmental and enterprise-wide projects and perform other duties as assigned.
