As we open a new manufacturing facility to support our expanding Data Center Solutions portfolio of products, we are seeking a Lean Manager II to help establish the systems, processes, and culture that will support long-term operational success. This role offers the opportunity to influence a growing operation from an early stage, develop a high-performing Lean team, and drive meaningful improvements that strengthen performance and support future expansion. This position will be based at our new Lexington Preserve facility in Blaine, MN, which will open in 2027. Upon hire, onboarding and training will be held at our facilities in Blaine or Anoka, MN until the new facility opens.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience facilitating Kaizen events and implementing sustainable process improvements that drive quantifiable business outcomes.
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience with a strong understanding of day-to-day operations, material flow, production challenges, and how improvements are successfully implemented on the shop floor.
  • Solid understanding of Lean manfuacturing tools and methodologies including Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, Daily Management, and Root Cause Problem Solving.
  • Ability to partner effectively with operations leaders, engineering, quality, and other functional teams to drive improvements and achieve business objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of people leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in manufacturing environments that use automated equipment, automated cells, conveyors, or similar production technologies is also preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Lean strategy for the facility, driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, flow, and overall operational performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Automation teams to improve productivity, flow, quality, and overall manufacturing performance.
  • Develop and implement a multi-year continuous improvement roadmap that supports facility expansion and business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a growing Lean team, initially consisting of a Continuous Improvement Lead and Lean Technician.
  • Facilitate and coach teams through Kaizen events, value stream mapping activities, root cause problem solving, and waste elimination initiatives.
  • Establish and sustain Lean management systems including visual management, standard work, daily management routines, kanban systems, and performance tracking.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and drive measurable business results.
  • Capture and transfer lessons learned to other manufacturing operations, helping influence future Lean and operational strategies across the business.
