About The Position

This role focuses on enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across assigned organizational areas through the initiation, support, and review of SPS (Schaeffler Production System) activities. The LEAN Engineer will lead the implementation of SPS standards, including lean management, workplace design, supply chain management, and value stream design. They will also be responsible for training teams on SPS methodologies, facilitating workshops, documenting outcomes, and supporting management in coaching improvement processes. A key part of the role involves conducting reviews of SPS implementation status and evaluating the costs and benefits of these initiatives to ensure sustainability and long-term impact.

Requirements

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in lean management or continuous improvement role.
  • Strong knowledge of SPS or similar lean production systems and tools.
  • Proficient in communicating and training cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and project facilitation skills.
  • Must be willing to travel 25% of the time. (Domestic 20% / International 5%)
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
