About The Position
Blue Collars Plumbing & HVAC is seeking a Leak Detection Specialist / Service Plumber in Charleston, SC. This role is for a technician who excels at diagnosing and repairing complex plumbing issues that others cannot solve. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing advanced leak detection, as well as standard residential and commercial service plumbing. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, variety, and taking ownership of their work. The role involves a mix of challenging leak detection tasks and routine service calls, including diagnosing drainage issues, replacing fixtures, repairing water heaters, and assisting with commercial projects. We are looking for a strong service plumber with the patience, technical ability, and investigative mindset to become a go-to leak detection specialist.

Responsibilities
- Residential and commercial plumbing service
- Advanced water leak detection and diagnostics
- Locating hidden leaks in walls, floors, ceilings, slabs, and underground piping
- Troubleshooting unexplained water usage and pressure loss
- Diagnosing plumbing systems before opening walls or concrete whenever possible
- Water heater repair and replacement
- Drain and sewer diagnostics
- Plumbing repairs and installations
- Fixture installation and replacement
- Water line, waste, and vent system repairs
- Commercial tenant upfits and remodels
- Reading and interpreting plumbing drawings
- Coordinating project work in the field
- Working directly with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Clearly explaining findings, recommendations, and repair options to customers
