About The Position
PlayCV is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to create opportunities that foster academic and personal growth through diverse enrichment activities and joyful play for all students. We strive to bring enrichment programs that both introduce and deepen subject matters of interest. Our intention is to foster team and individual growth while developing social interactions. All of our programs take place onsite at one of Castro Valley Unified School District’s elementary or middle schools. We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible Head Coaches for our Leagues Youth Badminton and Volleyball Program. This role is perfect for those who enjoy working with kids, love sports, and want to build leadership and teamwork skills. This role will be part-time.
Requirements
- Responsible, reliable, and punctual
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team
- Have patience, compassion, and kindness.
- Able to submit to a TB test and LiveScan fingerprinting.
Nice To Haves
- Interest in badminton, volleyball, coaching, or working with kids
Responsibilities
- Leading badminton or volleyball drills, games, and activities.
- Help supervise children to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Lead team of Assistant Coaches and provide direction.
- Set up and take down nets, equipment, and supplies before and after sessions.
- Model good sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
- Communicate effectively with the Program Coordinator and participants.
