About The Position

High Concrete Group LLC is seeking a Leadperson for their 2nd Shift Material Handling crew. This role is responsible for the daily planning, directing, training, implementation, and general supervision of their assigned area. The Leadperson must ensure shipping schedules are met within budgeted allocations while adhering to safety and quality standards. They must also demonstrate the ability to perform all functions of the positions within the department.

Requirements

  • CDL A driver's license required
  • Good communication / follow up skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to manage / lead a team while maintaining company policies
  • Ability to manage multiple projects / tasks on a daily basis / set direction
  • Ability to read & interpret blueprints, required
  • Working in outdoor elements year round is required

Nice To Haves

  • Concrete and/or construction experience, preferred
  • 1-3 years precast / pre-stress industry, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Daily planning, directing, training, implementation, and general supervision of assigned area.
  • Meeting shipping schedules within budgeted allocations.
  • Ensuring conformance to safety and quality standards.
  • Performing all functions/operations of positions within the department.
  • Training and development of coworkers.
  • Planning and coordinating tasks to maximize shipping efficiency.
  • Directing a crew of co-workers to achieve required quality and production schedules.
  • Problem-solving and taking immediate action on safety/quality/forming issues.
  • Assigning trailers for shipping as needed.
  • Preplanning of shipping trailers for loading and storing of unusual pieces.
  • Interacting with all levels of the organization to achieve company goals.
  • Meeting company metrics related to safety, quality, cost, and material.
  • Working outside year-round.
