About The Position

CSCT department is seeking an experienced curriculum developer and subject matter expert to help shape and update a comprehensive, modern leadership course series. This contract role is a unique opportunity to transform leadership curriculum into a cohesive, practical, and high-impact learning experience for emerging leaders. Working closely with our program team, you will bring both real-world leadership expertise and instructional rigour to the development of course content that is relevant, inclusive, and ready for delivery in hybrid and remote environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a formal leadership position (people manager, director, senior manager, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated expertise in leadership development topics including team dynamics, communication, conflict resolution, coaching, change management, and organizational culture
  • Strong understanding of modern leadership competencies such as hybrid/remote team management, DEI practices, and data-informed decision-making
  • Proven ability to develop professional, polished written content — including course descriptions, learning outcomes, and instructional materials
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables independently
  • Collaborative and communicative working style, with experience contributing to team-based projects

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industries local to the Okanagan region is also a benefit (e.g. manufacturing, forestry, hospitality & tourism, municipal government, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine curriculum, course outlines, learning outcomes, and instructional materials for the Leadership Series
  • Serve as subject matter expert, ensuring content accuracy and real-world applicability across all courses
  • Collaborate with the program team to ensure a standardized, cohesive learner experience across all cohorts and facilitators
  • Design learning activities, assessments, and facilitator guides appropriate for adult learners in professional settings
  • Adapt content for delivery across in-person, remote, and hybrid environments
  • Provide expert input on best practices and current leadership trends
  • Meet project milestones and deliverable deadlines within the June–September 2026 contract term
