About The Position

Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) is seeking a Leadership Development Specialist to join their growing team. ARC has been voted a top Central Texas employer for over 15 years and is one of central Texas’ largest professional medical groups with over 35 locations. The Leadership Development Specialist will be responsible for coordinating learning logistics, managing learner communication, and supporting the Leadership & Professional Development Manager with session preparation for assigned audiences. This role applies adult learning principles to assist with updating learning content and supports the manager by leading activities and facilitating sessions as assigned. The ideal candidate will connect with others through empathetic communication, deliver compassionate service through solution-focused thinking, and partner for growth, while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the organization's mission and philosophy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Three (3) years of experience in learning and development, enablement specialist, classroom education or training, or in-person facilitator-led learning.
  • Understand adult learning and instructional principles, recognizing their uses within existing content and integrating them into revisions and new content.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into simple, everyday language.
  • Ability to partner effectively with leaders and HR to design and deliver learning and development solutions.
  • Skill in utilizing instructional design tools (e.g., Articulate 360).
  • Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to learn new applications and/or functionality and create learning documentation to support the application.
  • Ability to relate well with all levels; builds appropriate rapport; can use style to gain acceptance of an idea with business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the execution and maintenance of development solutions by demonstrating a foundational understanding of adult learning and instructional design principles.
  • Creating, updating, and formatting learning content for assigned learner groups, including professional and leadership development courses.
  • Serving as a point of contact for new leaders (promoted or externally hired), welcoming them and guiding them through the logistical steps of the leadership development pathway and coaching journeys.
  • Leading in-person and/or virtual activities for new leaders.
  • Assisting and supporting with logistical items, including scheduling, updating content, preparing materials, and sending post-session support assignments or resources.
  • Coordinating learning initiatives setup and distribution using internal and external platforms, assisting with the administration of learning campaigns aimed at building internal capabilities.
  • Partnering with the Leadership & Professional Development Manager and other team members to coordinate new initiatives, pathways, and campaigns to support team member and leader development.
  • Reviewing and cross-referencing learning content to ensure alignment with the three (3) pillars of Professional and Leadership Development.
  • Collecting and organizing feedback, data, and learning observations to identify development needs, communicating trends to the manager to support continuous elevation of the learning portfolio.
  • Organizing and balancing daily responsibilities alongside tasks related to multiple initiatives, pathways, and campaigns, while tracking project milestones to help ensure timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Maintaining tracking systems and dashboards to monitor learning metrics, participation rates, and other key performance indicators.
  • Identifying opportunities and recommending updates/changes to improve protocols, processes, and tracking systems.
  • Actively pursuing self-development and professional growth, utilizing manager guidance and participating in the internal facilitator certification process to prepare for independent session facilitation.
  • Adhering to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
  • Coordinating scheduling and logistics for identified internal and external learning resources.
  • Coordinating newly promoted or externally hired leader follow-ups, gathering early feedback and tracking onboarding milestone completions.
  • Actively participating in team meetings, workgroups, or committees as requested to represent the team and support ongoing initiatives.
  • Contributing to team success by performing other supportive duties as requested or assigned.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
