About The Position

The leadership board assists with the completion of launch steps 8-10 and operation of the live program. This role involves providing input and direction to the program director, assisting with the 5 L's of operations (Leadership, Location, Logistics, Loot, and Language), and ensuring the program aligns with LifeWise Academy's mission and values. The board should comprise at least three and no more than nine members in addition to the program director, with representation from at least three different churches and the broader Christian community. Each member is expected to have a mature personal Christian faith, actively participate in a local church, complete training and background checks, diligently execute the T-Minus Plan, participate in fundraising, attend meetings, commit to a minimum of one year of service, and pray for the program. Members should exemplify LifeWise Core Values of COMMITMENT and COMPETENCE.

Requirements

  • Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
  • Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
  • Proven track record of exemplifying the LifeWise Core Values: COMMITMENT and COMPETENCE
  • Ability to provide contact info of a local church leader in which he/she is an active participant

Nice To Haves

  • Representation from at least three different churches
  • Representation of the entire Christian community: various ages, professions, genders, races, etc.
  • One member responsible for each of the 5 L's: Leadership, Location, Logistics, Loot and Language (individual board members may be responsible for more than one L)

Responsibilities

  • Providing input and direction to the program director
  • Assisting with the 5 L's of operations: Leadership, Location, Logistics, Loot, and Language
  • Recruiting and onboarding program staff and volunteers
  • Researching, securing, and preparing facility and transportation
  • Coordinating details and maintaining positive communications with the school
  • Spearheading fundraising efforts, budgeting, and managing finances
  • Ensuring all public communications are excellent and contain proper messaging
  • Completing board member role-specific training
  • Completing a background check & Child Abuse Awareness and Mandated Reporting training once every 3 years
  • Being diligent in executing the T-Minus Plan prior to launch
  • Actively participating in the fundraising process
  • Faithfully attending scheduled meetings
  • Committing to a minimum of one year of service
  • Being consistent in prayer for the local program
