About The Position

The Leader of Manufacturing oversees satellite component product assembly, testing, and delivery to satellite integration. The role provides technical and people leadership to Avionics and Electro-Mechanical manufacturing engineers and technicians producing complex satellite electronic assemblies and supporting full-system integration. Internally, the Millennium title is Director of Manufacturing; the internal job code is Engineering Multi-Skill Leader, level L. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the role partners with the Manufacturing leadership team and Boeing Space Mission Systems Operations counterparts to support company mission success. It leads manufacturing personnel and operations, ensures products are made safely and to high quality and service standards, and pursues cost improvements. The position also supports factory build efforts, flight program builds, production scaling and transitions, proposal activity, quality practices, and manufacturing budgets. For avionics, the role oversees integration of avionics suites into satellite chassis, enforces electronics manufacturing and quality standards, scales avionics and electro-mechanical production, manages assembly capacity and throughput, and coordinates with test engineering to integrate functional verification into production. The position is based at a facility requiring special access. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and eligible and willing to obtain and maintain a security clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance is required post-start. The employer will not sponsor employment visas.
