About The Position

Supervises the daily activities of the indirect material handler and spider. Train the staff personnel and supervise their work to ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, policies, deadlines, also helps in resolving any issues. Responsible for evaluating the performance of the employees.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3+ years Distribution and Inventory/Warehousing experience
  • Previous lead experience
  • Strong knowledge of WMS system (Oracle)
  • Forklift Certification
  • Ability to supervise, manage, instruct and lead others
  • Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple and changing deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Great attention to detail
  • Reliability and willingness to work 40+ hours a week to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships with other departments
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative
  • Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the daily cycle counts of the various inventory assets
  • Investigate, identify, and reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages
  • Take care of the inventory areas by organizing and maintaining efficient material handling and storage
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to inventory control
  • Work in tandem with various departments and maintain flexible attitude supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals
  • Ensure that all the employees work towards achieving the objectives related to inventory control management and make suggestions for improvement to management staff
  • Authorize all adjustments for the warehouse made to the inventory
  • Provide direct supervision to the material handlers and spiders, including evaluating performance and giving direction
  • Maintain Workflow’s relevant to inventory and assembly lines
  • Implement rack audits and zero locater.
  • Assist in reconciliation of Sub-Inventories
  • Ensure timely picking of tasks
  • Maintain Quality tasks related to adjustments
  • Maintain Slob inventory as needed
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain training standards
