About The Position

This position involves supervising custodians in proper cleaning techniques and ABM procedures. The Lead will oversee job performance, ensure work completion, and perform cleaning routines to a high standard. Responsibilities include inspecting buildings for quality and safety, responding promptly to alarm calls and client requests, and corresponding daily with the night supervisor to review operations and receive instructions. The Lead must provide immediate response to emergency requests, perform quality control inspections, coordinate substitutes for absent custodians, and supervise, inspect, and perform tag work, all while following the directions of ABM supervisors and managers.

Requirements

  • Previous lead experience.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Good floor refinishing and carpet cleaning skills.
  • Solid history of building security procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability communicate effectively with the public, clients, employees and ABM.
  • Good history of following and enforcing company and client policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to correct customer complaints immediately.
  • History of safe work practices.
  • Great organizational skills.
  • Must be a great ambassador for ABM and a strong member of the ABM family.
  • Must speak well of ABM and represent the company well.
  • Willingness and availability to participate in training requirements as directed by ABM.

Responsibilities

  • Train custodians in proper cleaning techniques and ABM procedures.

  • Inspect buildings for quality and safety.
  • Respond promptly to alarm calls.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to ABM and client requests.
  • Correspond daily with night supervisor to review operations and receive Instructions.
  • Provide immediate response to emergency requests.
  • Perform quality control inspections including follow up to completion.
  • Coordinate substitutes for custodians who are absent.
  • Supervise, inspect and perform tag work.
  • Follow directions of ABM supervisors and managers.
