About The Position

The Lead supports and trains newly hired LTOs, operates an industrial powered lift truck, and assists with work-floor materials and daily operational issues. When the Shift Supervisor is absent, the Lead acts as Supervisor as needed. The role also assists facility Supervisors and management with planning, assigning, and directing work, and helps ensure that policies, procedures, best practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safety rules are followed.

The position is scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, on a day-shift 4/10 schedule. The listed pay rate is $23.50.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, at least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successfully complete post-hire assessments.
• Obtain and maintain equipment certifications, such as OSHA or company certifications.
• Wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment and in accordance with safety policies, such as protective footwear, protective eyewear, and gloves.

Responsibilities

• Support, train, and certify newly hired LTOs.
• Operate an industrial powered lift truck safely and efficiently.
• Act as Supervisor as needed in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
• Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Assist Supervisors and facility management with planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist LTOs with daily issues.
• Assist other Leads and Supervisors in ensuring that policies, procedures, and best practices are followed.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report observed noncompliance.
• Observe company safety rules and assist with enforcement as appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
