About The Position

We are seeking a Lead Wireless Network Engineer to join our team supporting Base Infrastructure Management (BIM). Requirements

  • Eight (8) years WLAN experience.
  • Experience in WLAN architecture.
  • Proven team leadership and development skills.
  • Experience performing predictive, passive, active, and validation wireless surveys
  • Experience with RF modeling, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise indoor and outdoor wireless design principles
  • Experience designing wireless solutions for complex or mission-critical environments
  • Familiarity with controller-based wireless architectures, roaming, segmentation, and security enforcement
  • Ability to interpret wireless KPIs, survey results, and performance trends to drive design improvements
  • Experience leading wireless cutovers, optimization, and troubleshooting in live production environments
  • Ability to produce technical design documentation, standards, and implementation guidance
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP) or Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP)
  • COMPTIA Security+ CE
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Experience in training and program development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Wi-Fi aspects of the Task Order.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all technical issues related to the Task Order.
  • Have technical background that facilitates understanding of USF technical requirements and communication with PMO.
  • Work closely with PMO/specified personnel to facilitate effective planning and accomplishment of critical objectives in a timely manner.
  • Manage all Subcontractor interface requirements in conjunction with the Contractor’s PM.
  • Notify the PMO and the Contractor’s PM immediately of any problems or issues.
  • Approve all engineering documents before submitting to the USF. Site preparation requirements and installation Plan (SPRIP). Formally known as Telecommunication Systems Installation Plan (TSIP), Preliminary Intgration Review (PIR), Critical integration Review (CIR), and integration Plan Acceptance (IPA) documents.
  • Design, configure and troubleshoot enterprise wireless local area network (WLAN).
  • Design infrastructure and network services.
  • Design WLAN radio frequency (RF).
  • Advanced wireless site surveying.
  • 802.11 security design and troubleshooting of WLAN design.
