About The Position

This role is for a Lead Window Installer in Austin. The position requires effective communication of field issues and areas for improvement, punctuality, and the ability to maintain Avanti property. Leads are responsible for organizing and cleaning work areas at the beginning and end of shifts. For internal employees, a minimum of Avanti Expert 2 level is required to apply for a Lead Position. External candidates must pass and complete Avanti Expert 1 and 2 Levels before becoming a lead. The role involves using various tools, climbing ladders safely, following OSHA fall protection procedures, lifting up to 50 pounds, and managing customer expectations professionally.

Requirements

  • Internal Employees must be at the Avanti Expert 2 level to apply for a Lead Position.
  • External Candidates must pass and complete Avanti Expert 1 and 2 Levels before becoming a lead.
  • Clean driving records to drive company vehicles.
  • Ability to use cordless drivers, levels, and nail guns.
  • Ability to climb high ladders safely.
  • Ability to follow OSHA fall protection procedures.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds several times per day.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or prior knowledge of general construction and/or window and door applications or components is desirable but not required.
  • Outlook software applications (emails).
  • Ability to navigate Apple iOS and GPS operating system.
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills, good public relations, and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to read, interpret, understand, and explain documents such as product specifications, warranty manuals, and customer orders.
  • Ability to effectively present information, gather information from others, and respond appropriately to questions from customers, coworkers, and managers.
  • Must display excellent phone and email etiquette.
  • Must be able to present an appropriate attitude for the situation when interacting with customers or coworkers.
  • A team player must exhibit an ardent desire to learn and promote self-growth.
  • Must be pro-active, self-disciplined, self-motivated, and demonstrated to follow projects through to completion.
  • Attention to detail is required.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate field issues and areas of improvement effectively.
  • Be at work on time every day.
  • Keep all Avanti property (trucks, tools, proper PPE) in working order.
  • Be organized and cleaned at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Direct a crew on job specifications and train on proper installation processes.
  • Ensure the crew truck has all the tools and materials needed to install their daily installation quota.
  • Use cordless drivers, levels, and nail guns.
  • Climb high ladders safely.
  • Follow OSHA fall protection procedures.
  • Lift 50 pounds several times per day.
