About The Position

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates to join a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced warehouse environment. This opportunity is ideal for safety‑conscious individuals with a positive, professional attitude who are eager to grow and succeed. The role supports daily warehouse operations, including providing guidance to regular and temporary associates, collaborating with Operations Supervisors to meet productivity goals, and assisting with a variety of operational responsibilities. The position also contributes to training and development efforts by supporting and delivering training on warehouse procedures, safety standards, equipment operation, and best practices. The facility is a freezer/cold storage facility with temperatures ranging from -10°F to +70°F.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn and use proprietary software required.
  • Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions.
  • Ability to lead a small team, ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexibility required, excellent with numbers, time management, and ability to execute are required.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
  • This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
  • Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
  • The associate will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines, or other information.
  • The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of warehouse experience preferred.
  • 2 years of inventory or materials management experience preferred.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior forklift certification preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Flexible to work overtime preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates material handling equipment.
  • Willing to complete all required training.
  • Under guidance of Warehouse Supervisor, training new employees.
  • Guides warehouse employees in operational tasks.
  • Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor.
  • Monitors temperature of trucks, refrigerator, freezer, and trailers.
  • Required to stay until the work for the day is complete in all regions, unless preplanned with management.
  • Task associates accordingly throughout the day to ensure optimal operations and minimal overtime.
  • As a Lead – you are expected to LEAD by example; that means that all actions must be professional, safety must be a top priority, and ensure that everyone is treated fairly.
  • Must communicate any facility or associate issues immediately to your supervisor.
  • Willing to change shifts and hours as business needs dictate.
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor.
