About The Position

Penske Logistics is looking for warehouse associates to become part of an excellent team at our Grand Prairie, TX location! A Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, coordinating team activities, and ensuring safety, productivity, and accuracy in inventory management.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience, including in a lead or supervisory role.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible and time management skills required.
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or varying shifts as needed.
Ability to work in non-climate and climate-controlled conditions required
Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
The associate will be required to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines, or other information.
The associate must be able to see and verbally communicate.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit.
The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms.
The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support warehouse associates during daily operations.
Assign work tasks and monitor productivity to meet operational goals.
Train, coach, and mentor new and existing warehouse employees.
Ensure all receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory processes are completed accurately and on time.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while enforcing company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to prioritize workloads and resolve operational issues.
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed and if certified.
Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or equipment issues.
Monitor employee attendance, performance, and adherence to company policies.
Ensure quality standards and customer service expectations are consistently met.
Assist with scheduling, workflow planning, and shift coverage when necessary.
Lead by example by promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Prepare reports and communicate operational updates to warehouse management.
Perform hands-on warehouse duties as needed to support the team and meet business demands.
