About The Position

Lead and performs various tasks related to accurate receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of HVAC equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient warehouse operations and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The Lead Warehouse Technician will also be involved in training and mentoring other warehouse associates, reinforcing a culture of safety, and performing general housekeeping duties. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is expected.

Requirements

  • Previous Warehouse experience.
  • Power industrial vehicle experience such as a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform various tasks related to accurate receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of HVAC equipment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for warehousing, customer service, and local transportation issues.
  • Use material handling equipment to load and unload trucks for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Locate and pick material into/out of warehouse racks and between locations.
  • Log inbound freight (UPS, Federal Express, Airborne, DHL).
  • Work with local and regional freight companies, including setting up times and arranging hot shots.
  • Safely operate assigned material handling equipment, ensuring it is in safe operating condition and reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Stock and arrange product to ensure efficient warehouse turns of inventory.
  • Determine accurate material quantities through cycle counting.
  • Receive material into inventory, move material between designated locations, and locate/pick material as required.
  • Ensure accurate part number, quantity, and other data field entries that impact electronic records.
  • Resolve discrepancies with material quantities and part numbers.
  • Locate parts, ensuring pallet stability, observing pallet heights, and preventing damage to material, racking, and equipment.
  • Satisfy demands of internal customers by timely delivery or removal of designated materials to or from the supported shop.
  • Deliver high-priority materials ahead of routine materials.
  • Practice safe material handling techniques.
  • Complete required training, including safety training, certification, and testing.
  • Reinforce a culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources.
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of warehouse associates.
  • Perform housekeeping as assigned.
  • May be required to purchase warehouse supplies.
  • Assist in annual warehouse inventory.
  • Work overtime/weekends as required.
