About The Position

Aldevra is seeking a qualified Lead Warehouse Specialist to support the National Weather Service National Reconditioning Center (NRC) in Grandview, MO. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, clear communication skills, and a willingness to be adaptable. This role is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) badge.
  • Passing an extensive background check.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move warehouse materials.
  • Ability to lift and stack boxes and parts.
  • Ability to operate forklifts/electric carts if required.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb, and work in warehouse storage areas.
  • Ability to safely handle equipment of varying sizes and weights.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment.
  • Follow detailed Government procedures.
  • Exercise judgment regarding proper handling and documentation of equipment.
  • Accurately enter and maintain inventory information.
  • Compare physical assets against computerized records.
  • Identify discrepancies and research/correct inventory problems.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or material management experience.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience working with a computerized/database-driven inventory or logistics management system.
  • Experience conducting or assisting with physical inventory reconciliations and audits.
  • Valid Real-ID state-issued driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry

  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and identify repairable assets and supplies.
  • Inspect and properly identify parts and equipment.
  • Log received assets into the database-driven logistics inventory system.
  • Create Work Order Numbers (WONs) in the database.
  • Change/update Serial Numbers (SN) in the database.
  • Change/update Agency Stock Numbers (ASN) in the database.
  • Log vendor-repaired parts.
  • Transfer repaired parts to the National Logistics Support Center (NLSC).
  • Enter and maintain equipment status information.
  • Create, update, and maintain computerized inventory/property records.
  • Participate in and support annual inventory audits.
  • Perform daily/weekly randomly generated inventory checks.
  • Reconcile physical inventory against database records.
  • Document logistics, equipment failure, purchase, shipping, and inventory data on Government forms.
  • Maintain inventory accountability and ensure items are properly tracked from receipt through disposition.
  • File logistics and inventory documentation.
  • Dispose of excess equipment using prescribed procedures.
  • Prepare weather information packages and letters concerning returned/found radiosondes.
  • Coordinate or oversee receipt, movement, storage, repair, resupply, and disposition activities.
  • Assist with mail delivery.
  • Ensure warehouse activities are performed according to established procedures.
  • Potentially operate forklifts/electric carts when required.
  • All other duties as assigned.
