This role contributes to overall customer satisfaction on an operational level by arranging transportation of orders/products from Distribution Centers, outside rework vendors, and customers. The Lead Warehouse Associate will work with the Shipping Supervisor to schedule required equipment for these moves. This position also involves coordinating and preparing documentation for export shipments, tracing shipments, obtaining proof of delivery, and expediting messenger shipments. The associate will also be responsible for updating customer transportation information, investigating and resolving carrier discrepancies, and resolving issues concerning overages, shortages, and damages. Additionally, the role requires interfacing with Distribution Logistics Management to resolve shipping errors and ensure corrective actions are established. The Lead Warehouse Associate will coordinate with Customer Service and warehouse management to ensure the highest degree of effectiveness and efficiency in the Traffic Department's activities, ensuring compliance with Local, State, and Federal agencies. This role also involves influencing and educating other departments with freight decisions to achieve the lowest costs at the highest service levels. The associate must follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and observe all company safety rules.
