About The Position
Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Lead Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a leadership role focused on guiding the veterinary technician team, enhancing patient care, and contributing to the hospital's growth. Requirements
- Veterinary Technician (CVT preferred) or highly experienced assistant
- Previous leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Strong technical skills and confidence in patient care
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for growth and development
Responsibilities
- Venipuncture and catheter placement
- Administering vaccines and injectable medications
- Patient restraint and nursing care
- Bandage changes, ear cleanings, anal gland expression
- Supporting and mentoring technicians and assistants
- Helping implement and maintain standards of care
