About The Position

Pfister Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as a Lead Veterinarian in their well-established small animal practice in West Chester, Ohio. This role is for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing medicine but is ready to take on a larger impact within the team. The Lead Veterinarian will act as a clinical resource for fellow doctors, foster collaboration, and partner with practice leadership to ensure the hospital's continued success. The ideal candidate will lead by example, enjoy bringing people together, and influence the clinical culture while maintaining relationships with their own patients and clients. Pfister Animal Hospital has a 30-year history of providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care and operates in a 12,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities. The hospital handles a diverse caseload, from preventative care to complex medical and surgical cases, emphasizing continuity of care and individualized medicine with doctor autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical leader and resource for the veterinary team.
  • Help foster an environment where doctors collaborate, discuss cases, and learn from one another.
  • Support and mentor veterinarians as they continue developing clinically.
  • Help maintain a strong standard of high-quality, compassionate medicine throughout the hospital.
  • Partner with the Practice Manager and hospital leadership to support the team, culture, and continued growth of the practice.
  • Lead by example while maintaining your own clinical autonomy and individual approach to medicine.
  • Help create an environment where doctors and support staff feel heard, supported, and excited about the medicine they're practicing.
