About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Lead Utility Porter is to provide courteous, friendly service to customers or guests during meeting and banquet functions. This role involves providing direction and leadership for the Parcel Center, including package receiving and delivery. The position requires setting tables by arranging place settings according to prescribed procedures, picking up litter or trash from public areas, and striking or cleaning banquet or function rooms by removing tables, linens, trash, etc. The role also requires meeting attendance guidelines and adherence to regulatory, departmental, and company policies, as well as performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have worked or is currently working a customer service position
• Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner
• Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Must possess the skills to lift, push or pull convention tables, chairs and other convention equipment
• Must be able to work high-volume, high-profile events not limited to New Year’s Eve or Super Bowl
• Must present a neat and professional appearance with good hygiene
• Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers
• Work requires teamwork with other staff members
