About The Position

Lead Used Vehicle Buyer (Multi-Store, High Autonomy, High Income) Giles Automotive Group Giles Automotive Group is hiring a Lead Used Vehicle Buyer to drive acquisition, inventory quality, and turn across multiple dealerships. You will have the autonomy to make buying decisions across approximately 300+ units spanning 7 rooftops, and your compensation will reflect the performance of those decisions. We are not looking for a director or a manager. We are looking for a high-output buyer who can move quickly, think in terms of various markets, and execute with confidence. The Opportunity You will work alongside General Managers with existing inventories while controlling your buying decisions and building the inventory you believe in. You will lead used vehicle acquisition across: -5 Louisiana dealerships in Lafayette, Opelousas, and Alexandria -1 dealership in El Paso, TX - 1 dealership in Las Cruces, NM Compensation This is a high-impact performance-based role that dramatically shapes the success of our group, and your pay will reflect that. Compensation is tied directly to the performance of the vehicles you buy, and t he right top performer can earn significant income in this role What You’ll Do -Buy vehicles daily using vAuto as your guide and live market data -Build inventory across multiple markets based on opportunity -Increase acquisition volume with confidence and speed. -Manage inventory quality and adjust quickly when needed -Make decisions independently and stand behind them What Winning Looks Like -Strong acquisition flow across all rooftops -Inventory that turns quickly and profitably -Confidence in your pricing and buying strategy -Ownership of both wins and misses Who This Is For You are: -Decisive and competitive -Fast-moving without being reckless -Comfortable being judged by results -Able to balance data, instinct, and market awareness -Not dependent on perfect conditions to act You likely have experience in: -Used vehicle buying or high-level appraising -Inventory management in a fast-paced environment -vAuto or similar inventory platforms Location Preferred: Lafayette, LA / Acadiana region but we could be open to remote candidates with a strong track record.
