About The Position

The Learning Experience – Byron Center is seeking a confident and caring Lead Twos Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom. This role focuses on supporting independence, early communication, potty-training readiness, and classroom routines that prepare children for preschool success. Our Twos program blends structure and play through the L.E.A.P. curriculum, helping children build confidence, social skills, and early learning foundations in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Early childhood classroom experience required (toddlers or twos preferred)
• Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education a plus
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of 2-year-olds in a safe, engaging learning environment
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities using the L.E.A.P. curriculum
• Support language growth, self-help skills, and social-emotional development
• Guide children through daily routines including toileting transitions, meals, and rest time
• Track developmental progress and share updates with families
• Partner with assistant teachers to maintain strong classroom structure
• Ensure compliance with Michigan licensing and center standards
