About The Position
At The Learning Experience, our Twos classrooms are joyful, structured environments where children build independence, confidence, and early communication skills through hands-on learning and consistent routines. Our Lead Teachers bring the L.E.A.P. curriculum to life while helping young learners prepare for preschool success. The Learning Experience – East Brunswick is seeking a dependable and engaging Lead Twos Teacher to guide our 2-year-old classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys supporting potty-training readiness, language development, and social-emotional growth during this important transition stage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Childcare, daycare, or toddler classroom experience required
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- Must meet New Jersey licensing and background requirements
Nice To Haves
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead a classroom of 2-year-olds in a safe, nurturing learning environment
- Implement age-appropriate activities using the L.E.A.P. curriculum
- Support early language development, independence, and peer interaction
- Guide daily routines including toileting, meals, transitions, and rest time
- Maintain an organized, engaging classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with families about milestones and daily progress
- Partner with assistant teachers to ensure consistent classroom structure
- Follow all New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
