About The Position

The Goddard School on State Bridge Road is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate Lead Teacher to join our exceptional team! Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Must meet all Georgia Bright from the Start licensing requirements and successfully complete required background checks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and actively engage with young children throughout the day.

Nice To Haves

  • CDA, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using The Goddard School's exclusive Wonder of Learning® curriculum.
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the developmental needs of every child.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Build meaningful relationships with each child while promoting confidence and social-emotional development.
  • Manage classroom routines with consistency, warmth, and professionalism.
  • Communicate daily with families regarding children's learning, development, and classroom experiences.
  • Create positive relationships built on trust, respect, and open communication.
  • Participate in conferences and school events.
  • Follow all Georgia Bright from the Start licensing regulations and Goddard Quality Assurance standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and cleanliness every day.
  • Ensure children are actively supervised both indoors and outdoors.
  • Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
  • Use assessments to guide lesson planning and individual learning goals.
  • Mentor and support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers.
  • Collaborate with school leadership and fellow educators to create an outstanding educational experience.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
