About The Position
Flex is seeking a Lead - Turret and Laser for its Dallas, Texas location. This role will support Axiom, a new independent company focused on critical digital infrastructure, if the intended spin-off occurs. The Lead - Turret and Laser will be responsible for leading a team in manufacturing projects within the fabrication department, operating Turret punch press and laser machines according to specifications. The shift for this position is Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating a punch press and laser machines
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate punch press and laser controls
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans including blueprints and drawings
- Strong attention to detail skills
- Basic computer and math skills
Nice To Haves
- 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication or related work preferred
Responsibilities
- Operates machines to manufacture parts from sheet metal or metal plates
- Prepares, sets up, and adjusts machines as required by product plans and production schedules
- Ensures that there are sufficient raw materials available
- Measures and aligns materials to be used
- Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Performs routine maintenance on the punch press
- Maintains a clean work area
- Performs other related duties as assigned
