PRIMARY FUNCTION: Primarily responsible for preventive maintenance and service of equipment; minor repairs and assist the mechanics. Passed Level 2 NOCTI Vehicle Mechanic test. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS: Performs preventive maintenance on all company tractors and trailers (Feed Mill & Live Haul), light pick-up trucks, cars, and loaders, including but not limited to:servicing all vehicles, including but not limited to: changing oil and filters (oil, fuel, air, water, power steering, transmission, hydraulic, etc…); air fittings;greasing tractors, trailers, loaders, pick-up trucks, cars, etc. ensuring proper fluid levels, proper functioning of all lights and brakes, etc. Helps other mechanics as needed; picks up parts; replaces mud flaps.
