About The Position

Location: 1655 W 1900 N Salt Lake City, UT 84116 Job Schedule: Full-time (SWING SHIFT ONLY, 2pm - 10pm, Weekends as needed) 5% increase for our swing shift crew available. At Alpha Transport Inc., we take pride in being one of the largest petroleum transporters in the Western U.S. To keep our fleet running safely and efficiently, we operate a heated 4-bay enclosed shop, a drive-through wash bay, and a fully equipped tire room. We’re looking for a skilled and safety-focused Truck Tanker Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair our fleet of fuel-hauling trucks and trailers. Requirements

Experience in Truck & Trailer Maintenance (fuel tanker experience a plus!).
Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not required).
Own Basic Tools to perform job functions.
Basic Computer Skills to log work and complete reports.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Safety-Oriented Mindset with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Welding Experience (a plus but not required).

Responsibilities

Diagnose & Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on fuel-hauling trucks and trailers.
Perform Preventive Maintenance to keep equipment in peak condition.
Conduct Major & Minor Repairs, including brake systems, suspension, tires, air, and electrical systems.
Handle Minor Diesel Engine Repairs and ensure regulatory compliance.
Maintain an Organized Work Area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with the Team to ensure timely repairs and minimize downtime.
