This role involves designing transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range, mentoring less experienced design team members, and coordinating design activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements. The position also requires preparing technical reports and studies, performing independent reviews of work by others, and adhering to Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes. A key aspect of this role is leading others in leveraging modern tools, including automation and AI, to enhance workflows, minimize rework, and deliver cost-effective designs. This includes directing process-improvement initiatives and guiding the appropriate use of AI and agentic AI tools while ensuring the accuracy of results. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for two days of remote work and three days in the office, and may include a generous relocation package depending on the candidate's location.
