About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Lead Trainer (2nd Shift). The hourly rate for this position is $22.83 + $1 shift differential per hour. The Lead Trainer is responsible for scheduling and tracking all training for plant employees. The Lead Trainer will evaluate the development and effectiveness of new employees throughout a progressive, task-oriented on-the-job training process. Emphasis will be placed on instilling a winning culture of teamwork and continuous improvement supported by our Eaton Culture Model.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Must have a minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience teaching and training others.
  • Strong computer skills: Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access).
  • Must have strong people skills, leadership, good communication and planning skills, and ability to manage more than one task at a time.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in related field.
  • Experience with data tracking and project management.
  • Experience teaching/training both individuals and in group settings.
  • Experience with AS400, DMM, EQLM, eSafety, SharePoint, and Enovia.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with supervisors/team leads to ensure a smooth, efficient transition of trainees onto the plant floor with assigned trainers.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new employees with 30, 60, and 90-day process checks.
  • Own the tracking, documentation, and overall process for trainees/trainers.
  • Collaborate with different functions to develop and deliver approved training courses.
  • Systematically support trainees to ensure their effectiveness through gated development.
  • Foster the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) among trainees through continuing education.
  • Collect and analyze data from the annual training needs assessment for plant personnel.
  • Develop / deliver training and relevant projects based upon site assessments results.
  • Support and deliver New Employee Orientation.
  • Support both Front End and Manufacturing training needs, through standard / annualized and ad-hoc training.
  • Effectively communicate with all functions around the plant to ensure smooth onboarding and training of new employees and contingent workers.
  • Follow all company policies and the Eaton Culture Model.
  • Learn, Teach, & Demonstrate safe work practices daily and perform other duties as assigned within the training function.
